Swisscom Mobile Selects 724 Solutions to Expand their Multimedia Data Services
Swisscom Mobile's bulk multimedia messaging service to be powered by 724's X-treme MMS Accelerator
Santa Barbara, CA, Barcelona, Spain (February 13, 2006) - 724 Solutions (NASDAQ: SVNX; TSX: SVN), a leading provider of next-generation IP-based network and data services today announced that Swisscom Mobile, a member of the Vodafone Club of Operators and the leading mobile communications provider in Switzerland has selected 724 Solutions' X-treme MMS Accelerator (XMA) to power Swisscom Mobile's Bulk Multimedia Messaging Service.
724's XMA, a high capacity application to person (A2P) bulk multimedia messaging center, fundamentally changes the feasibility of offering a set of data services based upon the bulk delivery of time-sensitive multimedia content. Swisscom Mobile will initially offer this service to their entire MMS-enabled subscriber base in conjunction with this summer's FIFA World Cup.
