Swisscom Mobile Selects 724 Solutions' X-treme Service Activity Manager
XSAM to enable premium content provider management and secure mobile services for Swisscom Mobile
Santa Barbara, CA, Cannes, France, (February 14, 2005) - 724 Solutions (NASDAQ: SVNX; TSX: SVN), a leading provider of next-generation IP-based network and data services, today announced that Swisscom Mobile, a member of the Vodafone Club of Operators and the leading mobile communications provider in Switzerland, has entered into an agreement with 724 Solutions to deploy 724's X-treme Service Activity Manager (XSAM).
XSAM standardises and automates the lifecycle management of content services enabling mobile operators and third parties to rapidly create, manage, and deliver a rich portfolio of advanced WAP, J2ME, HTTP, MMS, and SMS-based mobile data services with dynamic workflow processes that can be easily adapted to changing needs of operators, content providers, and the marketplace. XSAM routes traffic between content providers, operators, and subscribers, while implementing centralized operator policies on those transactions making it ideally suited to network application security policy enforcement. Swisscom Mobile is deploying XSAM to further facilitate secure communications to its third party SMS content providers along with an additional point to ensure the needed protection is in place against the increasing threat of potentially harmful and unwanted content.
