Radiolinja Eesti Launches MMS Applications with 724 Solutions' WAP 2.0 Gateway
X-treme Mobility Gateway enables MMS games, photos and music
Santa Barbara, CA (May 19, 2003) - 724 Solutions (NASDAQ: SVNXD; TSX: SVN), a leading provider of next-generation IP-based network, applications and data services, today announced that the second largest mobile operator in Estonia, Radiolinja Eesti, has selected 724's X-treme Mobility Gateway (XMG) to enable a new offering of advanced multimedia wireless messaging services, including community java-based games, photos, graphics, music, and video.
As an existing customer, Radiolinja Eesti sought a fully compliant WAP 2.0 gateway to deliver these MMS services. Following a series of successful lab trials, XMG's proven robust, flexible and scalable technology was implemented by Radiolinja Eesti to launch its MMS digital premium services.
Radiolinja Eesti, a subsidiary of Elisa Communications and a leading Finnish telecommunications company, is the first to offer MMS services in Estonia.
