X-treme Mobility Gateway (Pull Gateway and Push Proxy)

The X-treme Mobility Gateway (XMG) is an open and secure, massively scalable, highly fault-tolerant wireless gateway, designed to extend value-added content services to wireless subscribers. The gateway's modular and component-based architecture allows for customization and integration with all existing network assets and third-party systems providing lower overall total cost of ownership.

"Always on" Dependability is Patented
724 Solutions' patented infrastructure technology uses a uniquely fault tolerant and high-availability architecture that has been developed over the past ten years. The foundation of the X-treme Mobility Gateway originated in the High Performance Research Center at Tandem Computers with the goal to embody the fundamentals of scalability, availability, and fault-tolerance in a software platform. XMG contains all of the necessary replication and fail-over technologies that deliver high-availability and increase deployment configuration options. Additionally, the gateway's unique ability to provide geographic fail-over further increases availability by providing a backup for regional system failures. XMG also leverages power of the network by pushing services and caching to be nearer users at the edge of the network, thus reducing latencies and network transport costs.

"Built Carrier Grade" to Handle Heavy Usage &
High Growth While Using Resources Efficiently

XMG is a proven carrier-grade product that utilizes highly innovative architecture to scale and perform as required. It has been tested under load to 10,000,000 subscribers executing 10,000 transactions per second. The gateway supports unlimited linear scaling and may be configured to distribute loads across all available servers, ensuring predictable and affordable scaling.

Integrated Robust Configuration & Operations
for Lower Management Costs

A centralized, GUI-based configuration model allows individual services or pools of services to be effectively managed across systems and geographical sites. XMG supports standards-based SNMP traps for systems management and reporting tools. Integration with HP OpenView allows advanced management features for complete system control of wireless applications. Furthermore, XMG provides WAP 1.x and 2.0 services for push and pull in a single architecture, enabling a single point to manage user profiles, device settings, and service management across all services.
