Account Director - Seattle, Atlanta or Dallas
The position is for an Account Director with quota responsibility for market leading wireless data infrastructure products into Tier 1 and 2 Mobile Network Operator (MNO) accounts in North America. The professional in this role will develop and execute full sales plans, strategic leadership and coordination of resources with these accounts to achieve desired revenue and profitability results.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To develop the account strategies and sales opportunities plans as well as the tactics to execute the plans.
- Build a strong relationship with the key players and decision makers within the MNO accounts.
- Manage MNO relationships across technical, commercial and operational functions in accordance with the general account strategies.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the MNO business, end subscriber needs, organizational structure, challenges and requirements within the context of the MNO’s sector.
- Position the company’s product portfolio to the MNOs to secure RFI, RFP or quotation opportunities.
- Communicate account strategies and revenue forecasts to Sr. Mgmt team.
- Team with Sr. Mgmt, Finance, Partners, Engineering, Sales Engineering, Professional Services and Legal to deliver winning proposals to MNOs.
- Build a strong pipeline of opportunities within the assigned region/and or accounts for the company’s product and solutions portfolio.
- Gather, understand, verify and act on information received about what the competition are doing within each account and on a more global basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years wireless infrastructure and core software sales and wireless telecom industry experience, preferably with experience in MMS, SMS and WAP sales.
- Demonstrated track record of success into MNO marketplace.
- Broad understanding of wireless industry, including wireless data technologies and competitive landscape.
- Experience managing complex customer situations.
- Self-reliant; self-starter; able to work independently with little supervision.
- Results oriented and a desire to benefit from the rewards of success.
- Ability to establish relationships with key decision makers.
- A high level of creativity, particularly in developing winning strategies and deals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong influencing skills capable of directing work through others.
- Business acumen and judgement.
- Willingness to travel.
- Recognized University degree in engineering or business administration.
